Elizabeth Arden is a cosmetics company that produces skin care products, make up and fragrances. Canadian Florence Nightingale Graham, who had an ambition to make the finest beauty cream, started the firm in the early 1900's. Later she became known as Elizabeth Arden and relocated to New York eventually finding success in her quest with the help of a local chemist.

She became an excellent businesswoman and soon had stores in Europe and America securing her financial future. Fine fragrances were another part of the Elizabeth Arden range and over the years many scents have been launched to great success.

After her death in 1966 the company went through several owners. Now known as Elizabeth Arden Inc, the company was bought by FFI Fragrances. They also own big name creations including Elizabeth Taylor and Halston.
