The first line of clothing was a selection of coats for both men and women. The company continued to grow, and by the 1980’s had begun to use the provocative advertising which has become synonymous with the brand name.
After an initial failed attempt at entering the fragrance market with Calvin, Calvin Klein used the popularity of the designer jeans frenzy to launch the now famous underwear line. At the end of 2002, Calvin Klein Inc. was sold to Phillips-Van Heusen
More fragrances followed in 1986 onwards. Between re-launches and new fragrances, Calvin Klein has been at the forefront of the fragrance industry for the past 25 years.
