Armani Aftershave and Cologne
Giorgio Armani is one of the world’s most renowned designers, and first made his name working for Nino Cerruti in 1964, designing menswear. Armani became a freelance designer in 1970 and, after gaining recognition at several shows, set up his own label in 1975.
Armani became a big designer label during the 1980s with the power suit and, on the back of this success, the brand launched its first men’s and women’s fragrances. Armani for Women was launched in 1982 and Armani for Men was launched in 1984.
L’Oreal produces the Giorgio Armani range of fragrances as part of its portfolio of luxury brands and in 2000 the line was extended to cover cosmetics.
